Haiti - FLASH : An independent sanctions report accuses Canada of interference and human rights violations 27/02/2023 06:34:38 He denounces to the UN hidden interests to maintain the situation in Haiti and serious violations of human rights. The charges, which sound more like gossip than criminal charges, are supported by press releases in the electronic media, with no basis or evidence, attempting to link these people to armed gangs, which drew attention of Human Rights Without Borders, because it was precisely these people who, when in positions of authority, tried to prevent the unchecked arming and power of criminal organizations in Haiti. The personal attacks are clearly aimed at discredit those who seek to democratically resolve what is happening there. Without any doubt, those who have major interests in this country are behind the accusations, and they seek to nullify any form of opposition and principle of authority to maintain this climate of anarchy and violence, where insecurity and gang power pave the way for more serious human rights violations. The report, written by lawyer Cristian Guzmán of Human Rights Without Borders and examined by five experts collaborating with this foundation, was delivered on February 20 to the offices of the High Commissioner with a detailed analysis of what is really happening in Haiti, where foreign interference in the internal affairs of this country is also denounced. Under the heading "Observations", the report demonstrates that the attack on former authorities who genuinely sought to peacefully resolve this delicate situation is devoid of arguments and totally illegal because "this type of unilateral sanctions has been questioned since for a long time by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights."
