PNH : 9 bandits mortally wounded
As part of Operation Tornado 1 and thanks to information from the population, during a strong police intervention carried out on the night of April 17 to 18, 2023 in Montagnac, a locality in the commune of Dame-Marie (Dept. Grand'Anse), 9 bandits including a "mambo" who was an accomplice according to testimonies, were mortally wounded in the exchange of fire with the police. Several arrests were made and firearms seized (the PNH did not provide further details).
