Kenya ready to send police officers to Haiti
On Saturday, April 22, 2023, Alfred Mutua, the Cabinet Secretary for Foreign Affairs of Kenya, Alfred Mutua, announced that during a meeting with Mélanie Joly, the Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs, after having reviewed the situation in Haiti, that the Kenya would join a multinational force and that it was ready to send police to help Haitian police deal with the gangs that terrorize the population and to stabilize the country.

All bank transactions monitored
Friday, April 21, 2023, Jean Baden Dubois, Governor of the Bank of the Republic of Haiti (BRH) informed that by the end of this fiscal year, the BRH will be completely connected with the banks in order to be able to carry out the traceability of all financial transactions. This will be made possible via the Central Financial Intelligence Unit (UCREF) thanks to a monitoring software equipped with artificial intelligence of international standard which will be able to follow the progress of all the transactions of the financial system in Haiti...

Thursday April 20 in Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic during the 2nd qualifying tournament for the Central American and Caribbean Games which will take place from June 23 to July 8, 2023, our judoka Sabiana Anestor in the -57kg category, won a medal bronze. Haiti finished 9th out of 16 participating countries with this medal.

4.4 million trees planted
Saturday April 22, 2023, as part of the celebration of Earth Day (April 22), the United States Agency for International Development (USAID-Haiti) supported communities in the northern region of Haiti by planting 4.4 million trees. In addition, 24,000 hectares of land are now under improved management practices. These projects are helping to increase the livelihoods and improve the resilience of over 43,000 people in these communities, while improving land productivity and water conservation.

Health : Donation of 130 motorcycles to the DDS du Sud, Nippes and Grand’Anse
UNICEF has handed over 130 motorcycles to the Departmental Health Directorates (DDS) of the South, Nippes and Grand'Anse. These motorcycles, funded by the German Government, will allow vaccination staff to reach children in remote and inaccessible areas.
