However, following the order of the investigating judge, there is reason to prosecute them for influence peddling given that the evidence is sufficient and to send them back to the criminal court to be tried, according to article 5.9 of the law of March 12, 2014 on the prevention and repression of corruption [...]." Let's remember that Robinson, when he was Government Commissioner at the Court of First Instance of Port-de-Paix, using his influence and authority, had released two alleged arms traffickers, Fritz Jean Relus and Jonas Georges (Owner of the boat "Miss Lili" having the transport of contraband goods) arrested for trafficking in arms and ammunition in Port-de-Paix https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-37108-haiti-flash-seizure-of-120-000-ammunition-me-michelet-virgile-releases-the-alleged-traffickers.html before being revoked for this decision. During the police operation which uncovered this arms and ammunition trafficking in July 2022: 120,000 munitions; distributed in 157 boxes (114,000 of caliber 5.56 for assault rifle type AR15. M16..., 2,000 of caliber 9mm, 4,000 of caliber 7.62 with high penetration capacity for assault rifles type AK-47, AKM-59. .. ) among others had been seized.
