Haiti - Politic : Minustah wishes the strengthening of the Democratic institutions
The United Nations Mission for Stabilization in Haiti (Minustah) welcomes the vote of confidence by the parliament of the 49th Legislature to the Prime Minister Garry Conille and to his declaration of general policy. It congratulates the Prime Minister the members of his Government inaugurated, hoisted, during an official ceremony held yesterday at the National Palace.

The Minustah express the wish that the Executive, the Haitian Parliament and the other forces of the country continue to work together to strengthen the democratic institutions, promote the rule of law and facilitate an environment conducive to the social and economic development of the country.

This essential step taken, the UN mission calls on all forces of the nation to unite in the implementation of the policy agenda to rebuild together a new Haiti, fully respectful of democratic values.

The Minustah and the whole family of the United Nations finally commit firmly to support the Haitian people, the President of the Republic, the Prime Minister and his Government and the Parliament in their mission which consists to meet the enormous challenges that the country faces and to continue the implementation of major projects underway.
