Extract from the speech of Prime Minister Garry Conille on the occasion of his installation at the Villa d'Accueil

"...With you I go with enthusiasm to the conquest of a better future in a new and reinvigorated Haiti revisited under the combined action of all his daughters and sons who do not know yet if they are Lavalasse or Macoute, of right, left, or center but which at the time of the reconciliation of the President Martelly recognize themselves simply as authentic Haitian and of good will, invite you to accompany me throughout this new work initiated by the President of the Republic on behalf of the 'haïtianité' recovered and strengthened [...] leave behind our old quarrels, different artificial, our mutual distrust and dislikes. Let's go together to the assault of the platforms that represents the idea of democracy and the economic and social progress. Because the fidelity of this ideal, will be our rule, the public good, this will be our goal, the public interest, this will be our compass.

Professionalism and open collaboration will make the success of his mission

My dear colleagues I arrived at the end of the long march until the Prime Minister's Office, also I would like this morning solemnize my first meeting, my first face to face with you, you the key stakeholders with whom I will work in the coming months. Yesterday friends had words of encouragement for me, and expressed wishes of success, but I've always been prudent, or rather the wisdom to answer them that the success of my mission will largely depend on the professionalism and frank cooperation of the responsibles of the Primature, their expertise and their commitment to work.

A strong sense of work

If there is a principle that constantly guided me throughout my career, it's a strong sense of the work, the sense of the results obtained, this is why I will prioritize a management on tangible and concrete results.

Ladies and gentlemen, I am preparing to start a major battle in a national and international context particularly difficult, the challenges of the reconstruction are immense, the determination to work together beyond the political and ideological divisions combined with the willingness of partners of the international community remains the only guarantee of our success.

A skilled ministerial cabinet

Force is to recognize that I have the privilege to be assisted by a ministerial cabinet where the individual skills of the members speaks for itself. It is now for me to coordinate with efficiency and effectiveness their actions and to operationalize the strategic vision of the president based primarily on the logic of 4E (in french), Education, Employment, Environment and the Rule of Law.

A great default, that of constantly evaluate the quality of work

Ladies and Gentlemen, I would be remiss I would be remiss default that I have as professional, it's to constantly evaluate the quality of work of my collaborators, to measure performance indices, these obsessions will bring me also to assess the objective conditions of work and depending on the case make the necessary adjustments, because I know pertinently that the performance of a professional depends also largely of the conditions optimal of wage, yes I know, I will considered this problem that have all its importance in this context of widespread crisis and high cost of living.

A man of dialogue that will not lock himself in his ivory tower

[...] I am a man of dialogue so I do not intend to lock myself in my ivory tower and take decisions without a minimum of consensus in advance, no it is not my style. For having worked a long time in international circuit I know the virtues of speech, the power of words, the nobility of listening the others and the magnitude of a decision taken with the general agreement. So my doors will always be wide open for staff, who, while respecting the standards and procedures established, wish to chat with me on a specific topic.

Operation in righteousness

Ladies and gentlemen the responsibles, Ladies and Gentlemen support staff, once again I assure you my determination to run the Prime Minister's Office in righteousness, by respecting the right of each other, in the mutual respect, the frank cooperation [...] without mistrust that has always characterized traditionally the working relationships in public administration in Haiti. I count on your cooperation and thank you in advance for the excellent quality of work that will be provided..."
