Haiti - Economy : ADIH In solidarity with the closure of Haiti's land borders with the Dom. Rep.

Friday, October 13, 2023, the Board of the Association of Industries of Haiti (ADIH) welcomed and expressed its solidarity in a note, towards all fellow citizens who urge the Haitian Government to keep its borders closed with the Dominican Republic.

"The determined cries of our compatriots, demanding this decision, are heard and appreciated."

ADIH is convinced that Haiti, like any other country, has the right and the obligation to prioritize the use of its own resources for the benefit of its population.

"Our Nation, which in recent decades has endured so much suffering, still survives, despite everything.

Although this decision may be binding for many, it is better to overcome these difficulties than to depend on the Dominican Republic, which itself only defends its interests.

In concert with other employers' associations in the country, an action plan is already being prepared with the government authorities concerned in response to the unilateral closure of the borders.

Let's seize this awareness to regain our full potential for self-sufficiency.

Let's invest in Us!

Ayiti p ap peri !

Lakay se Lakay !

An nou Konsome Lokal !"
