Under the Biden administration's Humanitarian Parole program, Haitian applicants are running out of patience to wait months for approval...

Since the program's launch in January 2023, applications received have exceeded planned limits and capacities and the number of applications awaiting approval stands at nearly 2 million according to "Cato Institute", an American public policy research organization.

In its publication, Cato Institute specifies that at the end of April 2023, the United States Immigration and Citizenship Services (USCIS) received an average of 12,000 applications per day, but approved less than 1,000. "The pace of demand has since slowed, but applications awaiting approval reached a record level".
