A Haitian obtains a doctorate in ecology

Haitian researcher Jean-Marry Exantus obtained his doctorate in ecology from the University of the Antilles (in Guadeloupe). His thesis focused on birds in urban and peri-urban areas of Haiti, a first for a Haitian researcher in this field.

Taekwondo : Preparation of referees

Sunday November 12, 2023, Grand Master Frénel Ostin https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-39914-icihaiti-taekwondomaster-ostin-fresnel-first-haitian-to-reach-grade-2.html hosted a seminar for national referees to strengthen their skills in preparation for the next National Taekwondo Championship. Several points were discussed, including the latest update of the regulations dated September 1st, 2023.

Campaign against Malaria

The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO-Haiti), in collaboration with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP-Haiti) and "ChaiHealth", supports the Ministry of Public Health in its fight against Malaria through its Program National Malaria Control Agency (PNCM) which is currently leading a campaign to distribute impregnated mosquito nets in Grande Anse. The teams of PNCM distribution agents are trained to guarantee effective distribution and promotion of mosquito nets to households.
