Taiwan : Purchase of 85.2 tons of rice from local farmers

Wen-Jiann Ku, Ambassador of Taiwan (Republic of China), with Brédy Charlot Minister of Agriculture co-hosted this week the rice donation ceremony as part of the project “Project to Strengthen Food Security and "Improving Living Conditions Post-August 14, 2021 Earthquake" funded by the Taiwan Disaster Relief Foundation, the project purchases 85.2 tonnes of rice from farmers in the disaster area to provide nutritious meals to local schools, in the aim of alleviating the post-disaster child food crisis and boosting the local economy.
