Delmas 16 : CIMO foils a kidnapping

Saturday, December 30, a patrol from the Intervention and Maintenance of Order Corps (CIMO) foiled a kidnapping, around 9:00 a.m., at Delmas 16. During the intervention, the kidnappers had time to escape and left a Taurus pistol in the victim's car. The victim was rushed to hospital by police patrol.

Grassroot Palm Festival postponed

Saturday December 30, 2023, the Grassroots festival session https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-41295-icihaiti-grassroots-festival-new-sessions-this-winter.html and https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-41319-haiti-news-zapping.html of the Haitian Football Federation (FHF) in the Land of Gabions of the City of Les Cayes has ended. The Palmes region session scheduled for this Sunday, December 31 is postponed to a later date. There are therefore three other sessions to be scheduled in January 2024, adding Hinche in the Center and Cap Haïtien in the North.

Taiwan : Donation of materials to the CNSCA

Saturday, December 30, 2023, the Ambassador of Taiwan (Republic of China) Wen-jiann KU presented a batch of materials offered by "Simply Help Foundation of Taiwan" to the National Council of the Ayitian Civil Society (CNSCA). The latter will redistribute them to the most vulnerable population. A gesture which demonstrates once again the shared solidarity of Taiwanese and Haitian civil societies.

Malaria : Distribution of mosquito nets

As part of the fight against malaria, the Ministry of Public Health plans to distribute more than 144,000 mosquito nets to 77,488 families in Artibonite.

End of year celebration at the Ministry of Women's Affairs

On December 28, the Ministry of Women's Affairs and Women's Rights organized an end-of-year party in the Ministry's premises for all its collaborators. The party took place in a friendly atmosphere, where the small staff, executives and Minister Sofia Loréus exchanged wishes for Christmas and the New Year.
