US$ 20M for the PNH

Thursday, February 1st, Frantz Elbé, Acting Director General of the National Police of Haiti (PNH), signed a project to support the police institution with representatives of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and the European Union. This project, worth more than US$20 million over 2 years, aims to strengthen the capacities of the PNH (logistics, technology and training) in its fight against gang violence, transnational crimes and gender-based violence.

D-Day : UEH Award

This Friday, February 2nd, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. the "UEH AWARDS" Ceremony will take place, an initiative of the student organization : "The Etidyan Leta platform" supported by the UEH Rectorate. This ceremony aims to recognize and celebrate the exceptional achievements and efforts of students in different extra-academic fields, to bring together the student, faculty and decanal community and also to promote the achievements and cultural values of young people.

Petit-Goâve : 2 demonstrators injured by bullets

At least two people were shot and injured this Tuesday during an anti-government demonstration in Petit-Goâve. Police officers are pointed out as being responsible for the shootings. It should be noted that the police had to intervene with tear gas grenades to prevent the demonstrators who were demanding the departure of Ariel Henry from closing the local customs office.

Pétion-ville : anti-Government demonstration

Responding to the call of the National Front of organizations for a stable and democratic Haiti, several dozen people demonstrated Wednesday in the streets of Pétion-ville to demand the resignation of Prime Minister a.i. Ariel Henry. The demonstration, which was to end at Airport Carrefour, was dispersed by the police at Delmas 73.
