Yvette Bonny, Canadian of Haitian origin, born in Haiti in 1938, emigrated to Canada in 1962, doctor specializing in pediatrics was one of the first black female doctors to practice in Quebec and the first Quebec practitioner of Haitian origin to have carried out in April 1980, a bone marrow transplant in Quebec and Eastern Canada on a child. This feat paved the way in the treatment of pediatric conditions such as leukemia and sickle cell anemia. For nearly 20 years, Dr. Yvette Bonnyr directed the pediatric bone marrow transplantation unit at Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital in Montreal.

Weather observation technician certification
Monday, February 19, 17 Haitian technicians obtained their certificates in meteorological observations for navigation. An initiative carried out through the "Crews Initiative" Project, in collaboration with Haiti Hydro Meteorological Unit (UHM) and the National Civil Aviation Office (OFNAC), supported by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP - Haiti) and "World Meteorological Organization".

NOTICE : Declaration of assets
The General Directorate of the Anti-Corruption Unit (ULCC) informs certain categories of political figures, civil servants and other agents of their legal obligation to declare their assets. The second edition of the Asset Declaration Day will take place on Thursday February 29, 2024 at its premises, located at #20, Delmas 83, from 10:00 a.m. The ULCC will make available to those concerned, the declaration forms of assets as well as the assistance of Government Deputy Commissioners, Clerks and Notaries to facilitate the completion of this formality during this day.
