Haiti - FLASH : Update on the situation in Haiti
Tuesday March 26, 2024, the center of Port-au-Prince was under the control of armed gangs, the shootings have stopped and the situation is evolving in "relative calm..." stores opened their doors after a night of great violence and looting, despite the state of emergency in force and the curfew...

At least 5 pharmacies and clinics near the State University Hospital were looted and burned. The Frère Nau School, on Steet du Center, was set on fire, businesses and dozens of private homes were looted and sometimes set on fire, several dozen cars were vandalized and set on fire. Heavily armed individuals vandalized the National School of Arts, all the materials were taken away.

In the provinces, towns escape the murderous and destructive fury of direct gangs but not its consequences...

Jérémie :
Everything was operating as usual, banks, schools and public institutions opened their doors. Several gas stations remained closed due to lack of fuel. On the black market prices are soaring…
