The Immaculate Conception Chapel vandalized and ransacked

During the night of Saturday April 20 to Sunday April 21. The Immaculée Conception chapel located at the general hospital and the midwifery school were vandalized and ransacked by armed men within the perimeter of the National Palace, confirms Father Franzy Petit-Homme, priest of the Immaculée chapel Design.

Refusal to negotiate with the gangs

Dr. Ernst Pierre Vincent, Special Advisor to the conference of Haitian pastors, rejects out of hand any proposal for political negotiations with armed gangs which, he emphasizes, "have no ideological motive." Pastor Vincent, an expert in conflict resolution, recommends using strong means to force bandits to lay down their arms, if they do not want to do so voluntarily themselves.

The installation of the CPT is getting closer

Monday afternoon, intense automatic weapons fire was reported around the National Palace between bandits and law enforcement during the visit to the National Palace of presidential advisor Leslie Voltaire delegated by his colleagues from the Presidential Transitional Council (CPT), to get an idea of the situation, as part of the preparations for the installation of the 9 advisors. This Tuesday, April 23, 2024, the members of the Presidential Transitional Council should decide on the date and place of their installation. The Episcopal Commission condemns
