Haiti - FLASH : Jamaica ready to deploy in Haiti
Deputy Superintendent of Police Adrian Hamilton, Detachment Commander of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) for the CARICOM Multinational Security Support Mission in Haiti, says the JCF team is ready to deploy to Haiti "We have always consistently trained and operated in unison with our critical partners with the Jamaica Defence Force. Our JCF team is equipped with dynamic capabilities. to support this CARICOM initiative [...] We’re competent, committed and confident with the level of training that we’ve received so far. And with the continuing guidance of the commissioner of police, the JCF High Command, the Jamaica Defence Force, our regional and international partners, we will deliver on the objective," Hamilton said.

Let's recall that the training exercise included personnel from the Jamaica Defense Force, Jamaica Constabulary Force, Royal Bahamas Defense Force and Belize Defense Force, all of whom were integrated into a task force CARICOM joint forces. Shopuld be noted that the JCF is currently the only separate non-military law enforcement entity currently to have been integrated into the "Trogon Shield" exercise which ended on April 26, 2024.

Hamilton, who is no stranger to fighting conflict in Haiti, served 13 years ago as JCF contingent commander and police advisor in the United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti between November 2008 and May 2011.

Hamilton served the Jamaica Constabulary Force for over 24 years in various areas – divisions, sections and branches – including the Bureau of Special Investigations, Narcotics, Navy and Westmoreland Divisions.
