Haiti - Social : Choiseul Henriquez, the new Minister of Culture passed away
Choiseul Henriquez, the new Minister of Culture and Communication, who had been hospitalized at the Canape Vert Hospital, shortly before his inauguration on October 18, and transferred urgently few weeks later in a canadian hospital to Ottawa, died Friday evening of a stroke according to preliminary information.

Henriquez, 51, father of four children, holder of a master's degree in communication and a degree in political science in Canada, former journalist and public servant under the Préval government (1996-2001), suffered for years from diabetes and hypertension according to his brother. The Minister of Culture, who has never sworn due to his health condition, was one of three parliamentarians, representatives of the G16.

Lucien Jura, Spokesman of the Presidency declared on Saturday hat he did not exactly know the cause of death.

May he rest in peace, may the earth rest lightly on him. Our condolences to his family, relatives, friends and colleagues.
