Haiti - Politic : The Government avoids a crash
After a successful working day with the Ministerial Cabinet in retreat, at the Club Indigo, the Prime Minister, Dr. Garry Conille accompanied of Mr. Thierry Mayard-Paul, Minister of Interior, of Territorial Collectivities and National Defense , and Mr. Laurent Lamothe, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Religious Affairs took the helicopter, Saturday, November 12, in direction of Ranch Le Montcel to Bélot, a locality of Kenscoff, for a meeting with the President Michel Martelly.

After the meeting, the Prime Minister and its Ministers, and their staff, took the way back to Port-au-Prince at 5:30pm. Weather conditions deteriorated rapidly and the helicopter was lost in thick fog, forcing the pilot to make an emergency landing. After avoiding several trees, the pilot managed to land its aircraft in a field of crops. The Prime Minister and the other passengers are safe.

While the Prime Minister came out of the helicopter after a few minutes, the local population was quick around the scene of the incident and expressed its joy by recognizing the officials and has offered its assistance.

Pending the specialized unit of the National Police (CAT Team) to help them, the Prime Minister and Ministers have spoke to the people about the incident and took the opportunity to express their gratitude "This is the true spirit of the Haitian people, and when a fellow is in danger, it comes in aid regardless of who it's," stressed the Prime Minister.

Although the events of this evening could have been dramatic, the Prime Minister and its Ministers, have never been in danger and were rescued by teams of CAT team, within 15 minutes after the incident. Senior officials of the State then returned to Port-au-Prince, where they were able to return to their homes safely.
