Mother's Day Messages :

Prime Minister a.i. Michel Patrick Boisvert :
"On this special day of Mother's Day, we salute all Haitian mothers who stand out, day after day, by their generosity, their humanity, their valor, as well as their constancy. We want to pay them a vibrant tribute for their dedication and resilience; they who are the 'potomitan' of our society and the unshakeable foundation of families."

Sofia Loréus Minister for the Status of Women :
"Mother's Day is a special day that celebrates the special bond between mothers and their children. In this dark moment that the country is experiencing, mothers are the most affected. They know the bitterness of a country in turmoil, the pain of rape and attacks of all kinds. They suffer great losses, they suffer a fate they do not deserve. Despite everything, Haitian mothers continue to bring love and hope to their families, they continue to protect their children at the cost of their blood. They are violated, humiliated, yet they continue to fight back with love because they are the perfect symbol of love. This is why we say no to violence against women! While reiterating the commitment to fight for a better tomorrow for all mothers in Haiti, Sofia Loréus wishes a Happy Holidays to all mothers."

Former First Lady of Haiti Martine Moïse :
"A special thought to all the tireless mothers. Those for whom night and day are one when it comes to their offspring. Today is all mothers' day. After years of hard work, MOM'S salary, the one who often forgets herself, can unfortunately be neither in money nor in cash. Rather, it is a smile with that tender look whose meaning only she knows, a kiss on the cheek or a 'I love you mammie cherie' in the hollow of the ear which makes her lose all her means and her only response will be the sweetest hug of which only she has the secret. Happy Birthday to all mothers and all those who play this role."
