5 Ministries will be twinned

The Presidential Transitional Council (CPT) and Prime Minister Garry Conille envisage a ministerial cabinet of 13 ministries, 5 of which will be twinned. The Ministry of Agriculture will be twinned with that of the Environment; the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will be twinned with the Ministry of Haitians Living Abroad; the Ministry of Planning with that of Economy and Finance; The Ministry of Commerce with the Ministry of Tourism finally, the Ministry of National Education will be twinned with that of culture. In addition, 3 ministers without portfolio will be responsible for security, elections and solidarity. The inauguration and installation of the Transitional Government should take place next week.

Journalist Desauguste named PM spokesperson

The communications office of the Prime Minister informs that the journalist Jean Jul Desauguste has been appointed as Spokesperson for Prime Minister Garry Conille. Desauguste is a political communicator and communications trainer. Former candidate for deputy for Cap-Haïtien, he is also the author of the book "The President has spoken".

Friday, June 7, the members of the Presidential Transitional Council (CPT) agreed by a vote to distribute the Ministries between the parties represented on the Council, who will each be responsible for proposing names (to be confirmed) for the Ministry which assigned to them.

The CPT, while wishing courage to journalists, is committed to guaranteeing free access to information at the public administration level.

Presidential Advisor St-Cyr in Norway

The Presidential Transitional Council (CPT) informs that Councilor-Laurent Saint-Cyr is invited to participate in the Oslo High-Level Forum which will take place in Norway from June 9 to 13, 2024. This Forum will bring together experts, from internationally renowned in mediation and conflict resolution. Saint-Cyr will return to the country on June 13, 2024.

Argentina : "Pro Huerta" Program

The Ambassador of Haiti Vilbert Bélizaire, accompanied by the Minister Counselor Madame Olga Médor Ducasse, met with the new President of the White Helmets in Argentina, Ambassador Eduardo Porretti. They discussed the "Pro Huerta" program led by the White Helmets in Haiti, the Kirchner Hospital in the city of Corail and Haiti’s support to the OAS in favor of the White Helmets.
