Saint-Marc : Arrest of gang leader "Kòmandan Julio"

Sunday June 16, 2024 the “Kòmandan Julio”, thus known, one of the gang leaders of Timonette, (5th municipal section of Saint-Marc (Dept. Artibonite), was arrested, informed the investigation service of the police station of the district of Timonette, of which 4 of its members are already behind bars, specializes in theft of cattle, the hijacking of goods trucks and assassinations. It operates in several municipalities, including Saint-Marc, Grande-Saline, Liancourt, La Chapelle and Verrettes.

Mission : Trudeau meets Ruto

Sunday June 16, 2024, on the sidelines of the Ukraine Peace Summit held in Lucerne, Switzerland, the Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau met with the President of Kenya, William Ruto. They discussed the crisis in Haiti and the progress surrounding the deployment of the Multinational Security Support Mission (MMSS). Dominican aerial surveillance

Saturday morning, a Dominican Air Force plane, a twin-engine Tecnam P2006T SMP adapted to reconnaissance and surveillance missions * (Range of action of 1,100 km), flew over Saturday morning, in Dominican airspace, near the canal built in Haiti to irrigate the Maribaroux plain. According to the Dominican army, this was "routine aerial surveillance" which is carried out in this border area and along the coast of the Dominican Republic and has nothing to do with the Haitian Canal.

Humanitarian : WFP organizes cargo flights

Through the "Logistics Cluster", the World Food Program (WFP) supports the entire humanitarian sector by organizing cargo flights. On Monday 2 flights landed in Port-au-Prince carrying 55 tonnes of medicine, shelter and hygiene materials, which will be used to help displaced people and to prepare for the response to the hurricane season.
