Postponement of the penal code
After an outcry from numerous civil society associations, Prime Minister Conille decided to postpone the date of entry into force of the decree of March 1st, 2020 revising the penal code and the criminal procedure code, scheduled for June 24 2024. In a special issue of the official journal Le Moniteur, dated Monday June 24, 2024, the entry into force is postponed to June 19, 2025.

Diplomacy : 33 women promoted Head of post
Following the evaluation of the profiles and performances of diplomatic staff, and with the approval of Prime Minister Garry Conille, Chancellor Dominique Dupuy initiated recall procedures in several missions and promoted 33 women as Head of Post, from now on, 50% of Haiti's missions will be led by women... a Haitian first which coincides with the International Day of Women in Diplomacy.

Kenya : Thanks from the PM
"On behalf of the Haitian Government and on my own behalf, I salute the determination of the Kenyan Government and its people to support Haiti in the fight against the insecurity that is corroding society. The Government and the Haitian people want this multinational mission to be the last one that helps it stabilize for the renewal of political personnel and the return to effective democracy. Distribution of thousands of m3 of essential supplies
The UN Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF) has made possible the delivery and distribution of several thousand m3 of essential supplies, including jerry cans, blankets and solar lamps. These items will help alleviate the suffering of those affected by the violence in Haiti.

NO to dialogue, NO to gang amnesty
Me André Michel, the spokesperson for the radical opposition Democratic and Popular Sector (SDP), "calls on the political authorities to reject any dialogue with gang leaders." He also asks them not to grant amnesty to the gangs "who have kidnapped, raped, murdered and impoverished thousands of families."
