Beauvais Géraldo, member of the champion team, was elected best debater of the competition. Victor DJ Barolette College placed second. 4.5 million trees planted ! To mitigate the effects of Climate Change in Haiti over the past five years, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID-Haiti) helped its partners plant 4.5 million trees on approximately 24,000 hectares of land in the northern and northeastern departments of Haiti, which helped offset approximately 54,000 tons of carbon dioxide. Reception center for returning Haitian migrants A delegation from the United States Embassy visited the Reception Center for returning Haitian migrants funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID-Haiti) and managed by the National Migration Office (ONM) from Haiti to the airport and the Port of Cap Haïtien.
