EDH powerless and without resources

According to Electricité d'Haïti (EDH), the company has a total of 62 MW available (Péligre hydroelectric plant 32 megawatts and E-Power 30 megawatts) out of minimum necessary needs of between 180 to 286 megawatts. In addition, EDH cannot supply provincial towns due to a lack of fuel (due to lack of budget) caused by its large debt due to difficulties in collecting invoices from its customers. Excellent customs revenue

The General Administration of Customs (AGD) of Haiti, announced that it had exceeded revenue forecasts for the month of June 2024, collecting a total of 9.1 billion gourdes out of forecasts of 7.9 billion gourdes, i.e. increase of 15.2%.
