Remarks of the PM on the canal

Following his visit to the site of the irrigation canal built in Ouanaminthe, Prime Minister Garry Conille declared "I saw, listened, learned, received grievances and messages of hope from farmers, investors and part of the youth of the Northeast. The Government will work to boost production on the Maribaroux plain and launch the construction of the René Théodore Agricultural Technical High School in Ouanaminthe to contribute to improving agricultural incomes."

34th class : 750 police officers

On Sunday, August 25, 2024, more than 750 aspiring police officers, including 213 women (28.4%), joined the National Police School as members of the 34th class of the National Police of Haiti (PNH). Selected from thousands of candidates, these future officers begin training for several months before joining their colleagues in the field to strengthen the fight against insecurity. In June 2024, 455 police officers were assigned to specialized units.

Taiwan strengthens rice production in Haiti

The Taiwan Technical Mission in Haiti has partnered with the Ministry of Agriculture to launch the Material Assistance Program for Loans. This initiative provides quality rice seeds, affordable fertilizers, and agricultural machinery services to help farmers plant on time, ensuring food security and economic stability for families.

PM : Elections, National Conference and Constitution

On Saturday, August 24, 2024, Prime Minister Conille, accompanied by Dominique Dupuy, Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with the American Ambassador to Haiti, Dennis H. Hankins and electoral expert Sidi Diawara. The objective of this meeting was to discuss the process and preparations related to the National Conference, the constitutional reform and the organization of general elections in the country.

Cap-Haïtien : Port works crucial for the economy

Reception at the Residence of France

Friday, August 23, 2024 at the Residence of France, Ambassador Fabrice Mauriès organized a reception to say goodbye to the partners and friends of the Embassy of France in Haiti. The Ambassador thanked his partners, Ambassador Dahomey who was his counterpart in Paris and all his collaborators of the Embassy who are leaving Haiti this summer. The Ambassador praised the courage of the Haitian people, despite the difficulties and security crises.
