How to register :
Online registration on the GIRAF Platform : https://form.ares-ac.be/formations_internationales_2025_2026#no-back

Applying for an ARES scholarship is FREE. ARES does not charge any fees at any stage of the application or selection process.

Your application file must be submitted to ARES via the GIRAF platform.

Procedure in 4 key steps:

1 - Have an active GIRAF account. Create your account:
Once validated by ARES (a few hours to a few days, no need to create multiple accounts), you will receive a confirmation email to create a password and log in. If you already had an account activated by ARES in previous years, you can reuse this account and, if necessary, reset your password.

2 - Access the application form:
It is available via the "Appels concurrentiels" tab of your profile. Please note, you must only click once on the "Candidature formation internationale 2025-2026" button. You will then find your form no matter what happens in the "Mes tâches" table of the "Appels concurrentiels" tab.

3 - Complete the form :
It can be completed in several times, as long as you use the "Enregistrer en brouillon" option. You will find your form each time in the "Mes tâches" table of the "Appels concurrentiels" tab.

4 - Submit your application:
From the moment you click on "Soumettre ma candidature", your file is sent to ARES and you can no longer modify it. You can still consult it in the table "Mes dossiers soumis".

List of mandatory documents for the application to be admissible :
- 2 letters of recommendation (academic and/or professional);
- Certified copies of the originals of diplomas;
- Certified copies of the originals of transcripts of records for all years;
- Proof of occupation for the last 5 years;
- Certificate of nationality or copy of passport;
- Preliminary project (for certain training courses - see the admission conditions specific to the training courses).
