  • On November 28, 2024, Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils Aimé held a meeting with the members of the Steering Committee of the National Conference https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-43053-haiti-politic-installation-of-the-members-of-the-steering-committee-of-the-national-conference.html whose mission is to lead the process of revising the Constitution and developing a new social project for national reconstruction.

    The Head of Government congratulated the members of the Committee for their exemplary commitment and dedication to serving the country. He also welcomed the significant progress made, including the progress towards organizing the next elections, thus demonstrating their determination to fully fulfill their mandate.

    Over the past two weeks, the Steering Committee has taken a decisive step by launching the constitutional revision process. This approach was marked by constructive consultations with various key sectors of Haitian society, including political parties, universities, women's organizations and other significant actors in national life.

    At the end of this meeting, Alix Didier Fils Aimé reiterated his commitment to the transition roadmap, which is based on three strategic priorities :

    1. The restoration of security throughout the national territory;
    2. Constitutional reform;
    3. The organization of free, inclusive and transparent elections.
