On Wednesday, December 26, a delegation led by Me Axène Joseph, Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister, went to the bedside of the injured to show the Government's support and assess their needs.

The Prime Minister committed to :

- Cover the medical costs of the injured, in order to guarantee them dignified and rapid care;
- Cover the costs of the funeral of the police officer and the two journalists who fell in the line of duty;
- Provide material and psychological support to the families of the victims, while respecting their pain and dignity.

In addition, the Prime Minister recalled that "impunity has no place in a society that aspires to justice and peace" and specified "The police, with the support of the judicial institutions, have received formal instructions to tirelessly pursue the criminals responsible for this tragedy."

"To the families plunged into mourning, we extend our deepest condolences. To all citizens, we launch this appeal: let us remain standing, united and determined to protect our Nation."
