Haiti - Social : Red Card for the government
The responsibles from the platform of Victims of Public Enterprises (PEVEP) announced two days, December 7 and 8, of anti-government protests to demand the payment of severance pays in favor of its members, and give a "red card to the government".

On Monday the coordinator of the PEVEP, Charles Fritz-Gerald had once again denied allegations that members of its organization, hundreds of dismissed employees of various public institutions to the arrival of the interim government of Gerard Latorue in 2004, have already received their severance pay under the Preval government, The victims believe they have been unjustly dismissed and demand since, compensation.

Mr. Fritz-Gerald also accused former President René Préval to have sent this false information, adding that René Préval had agreed to put in the 2009-2010 budget, an amount of 40 million gourds to compensate the dismissed employees, but this amount was never used for that purpose, believing that the statements of Mr. Preval are never credible.

"If René Préval wrong and lies from the beginning, why Michel Martelly should expect today, that he told him the truth and gives good advice" asks the coordinator of the PEVEP.

According to Mr. Fritz-Gerald, Michel Martelly has only three choices, whether he kills the victims employees, and is guilty of crimes against humanity, he makes arrest them in this case he commits a serious violation of human rights or he pays what is due to the hundreds of dismissed employees, in this case he is only obeying the law.
