Poet, writer, playwright, painter, visionary intellectual professor, he shaped the Haitian language and imagination, carrying the voice of a people and defying the darkness with the power of his words. Haiti has lost a giant, but his work remains eternal. Our thoughts and sincere condolences to his family and to all those he inspired." Poet, playwright, painter, professor and architect of words, he made Haitian literature shine far beyond its borders.
