Friday, March 7, 2025, witnesses reported explosions and clouds of dust in the sky at the bottom of Delmas.

Saturday, March 8, Pierre Espérance, Executive Director of the National Human Rights Defense Network (RNDDH), confirmed these testimonies explaining that during the police operation taking place in this area, the police used kamikaze explosive drones against the bandits.

He specified that the police had already used kamikaze drones in Delmas 6, Wharf Jérémie and Bel-Air, drones that would have caused at least 20 deaths and more than thirty injuries, including about 16 in the territory of "Barbecue", however, Espérance was not able to say whether there had been victims among the population following this new type of drone attack.

Pierre Espérance applauded this strategy, which, according to him, is beginning to bear fruit, estimating that "fear is setting in among criminal groups".
