Haiti : Aruba Airlines Flights Temporarily Suspended
"On behalf of the team of Aruba Airlines, we would like to inform all our passengers traveling to Port au Prince that : Based on continued challenges in flying out of Port au Prince (PAP), unfortunately, the result will be the temporary suspension of flights out of Port au Prince until these challenges is remedied. We will continue to seek resolution as quickly as possible. In the meantime, we will be issuing FULL REFUNDS to our ticketed passengers. The REFUND process will begin March 18th, 2025." PNH : 5 to 10 explosive kamikaze drones...
On Wednesday, March 19, 2025, the Haitian National Police (HNP) used between 5 and 10 explosive kamikaze drones in its fight against armed gangs in the 3rd precinct of Port-au-Prince, including Fort-Mercredi, Grand-Ravine, and Village de Dieu. No figures are available.

Anti-CPT and PM demonstration
On Wednesday, March 19, 2025, a large number of demonstrators from various neighborhoods, including Canapé-Vert, Debussy, Pacot, and Christ Roi, hostile to the Presidential Transitional Council and the Prime Minister, whose departure they are demanding, marched through the streets of Port-au-Prince protesting against insecurity. The demonstration, which was scheduled to end in front of the Villa d'Accueil in Musseau, did not reach its destination; it was dispersed beforehand by the police, who used heavy use of tear gas.

Good news ! The Haiti Post Office informs other Universal Postal Union (UPU) member countries and their designated operators that mail transport operations to and from Haiti have resumed, but are currently only provided by Amerijet International Airlines. All necessary precautions have been taken to ensure the security and confidentiality of mail arriving at Port-au-Prince International Airport.

"Izo" faces life imprisonment in the U.S.
U.S. Attorney Edward R. Martin Jr. and Brett Skiles, Acting Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), announced on March 18, 2025, that Johnson André, aka "Izo," leader of the "5 Secondes" gang operating in Village de Dieu, is accused of taking a U.S. citizen hostage in Haiti in March 2023. If convicted, Johnson André faces life imprisonment.

Miami Open Tennis : Good Start for Naomi Osaka
On Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at the Miami Open, Haitian-born Japanese Naomi Osaka (27 years old, WTA world number 61) got off to a good start against Ukrainian Yulia Starodubtseva (25 years old, AT world number 108), winning in three sets after losing in the first set [3-6, 6-4, 6-3]. In her next match, she will face Russian Liudmila Samsonova (26 years old, WTA world number 21) this Thursday, March 20, 2025. As a reminder, Liudmila Samsonova defeated Naomi Osaka in the second round (Madrid 2024) [6-2, 4-6, 7-5].
