Thursday ended in Lausanne, Switzerland, the last International Olympic Committee (IOC) Executive Board meeting of 2011, during which, many decisions have been taken.

Concerning Haiti, the creation of a new Sport for All Centre in Haiti was approved by the Board pending the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the IOC, the NOC (National Olympic Committee) of Haiti and the Haitian government.

If all goes as planned, work on the USD 17-million centre will begin in 2012, with its opening scheduled for 2014.
