FAES : Nursery and Vulnerable Populations

The Economic and Social Assistance Fund (FAES) established a large nursery in Coteaux, a town in Saint-Jean-du-Sud, to provide the region with seedlings needed for reforestation and biodiversity preservation. Primarily targeting fruit trees and endangered local species, it was carried out under the expert supervision of the Association of Volunteers for International Service (AVSI). This project, which directly benefits nearly 840 people, is part of the Safety Net Strengthening Program for Vulnerable Populations.

Jacmel : 30th Anniversary of the Police

Preparations are well underway at the South-East Departmental Police Directorate (DDSE) to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Police Force on June 12, 2025. Divisional Inspector Dieucibon, Spokesperson for the South-East Police, announced the organization of a series of events : a garbage collection day at the Jacmel municipal market, a blood donation drive, a thanksgiving mass, followed by a Te Deum. In addition, a football championship will be held in front of the Jacmel Police Station, and a gala evening is scheduled at the Macanda Club.

On the Occasion of the 30th Regular Meeting At the Ministerial Council of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS) in Cartagena, Colombia, the Republic of Haiti was elected Vice-Chair of the Special Committee on Cooperation and Resource Mobilization. This Vice-Chairship, led by the Ministry of Planning and External Cooperation, provides Haiti with an opportunity to influence discussions on resource mobilization mechanisms; a key issue for financing sustainable development in the Caribbean and South-South cooperation.
