Haiti - Economy : The PIAC met representatives from the business sector

The Presidential Investment Advisory Concil (PIAC) has organized in Petion-ville, Thursday, Dec. 15, a two-hour meeting with about twenty representatives from the business sector, composed of members of chambers of commerce and business associations. This meeting is part of the initiatives aiming the establishment of mechanisms to follow up the Forum held on November 29-30 passed.

The Executive Director of Presidential Investment Advisory Concil, Mr. Karl Jean-Louis, and the private sector had the opportunity to discuss on the composition of PIAC, the institutional reforms, the functioning of the Investment Facilitation Center (CFI), the Partnership private sector/public sector.

The Executive Director of PIAC and the participants recognize that the challenges are enormous and there is a need to create together a space for dialogue between the business sector and the Advisory Concil o ensure a permanent and constructive dialogue between the two sectors to promote and facilitate the local and foreign investment in the country. Other similar meetings will be held periodically to address the problems of the business sector.
