Mirebalais Public Market Set on Fire

USA : Towards a 3.5% tax on diaspora remittances
A 3.5% Trump tax on money transfers from the United States could deprive Haiti of at least $130 million annually. This measure has already passed the House of Representatives and is now awaiting ratification by the Senate. This tax will apply to remittances sent by non-U.S. citizens, including permanent residents and visa holders. U.S. citizens would be exempt, provided they use authorized operators and prove their status. This tax applies to all countries whose diasporas send remittances to their families back home.

The operations covered Greater Santo Domingo, Santiago, La Vega, Dajabón, Elías Piña, and Jimaní, among other strategic locations. Those arrested were duly registered and transferred to detention centers before being handed over to the appropriate authorities at border crossings.

Sunrise Airways : Insurance Guarantee, an Exception
