Haiti - Agriculture : Minister Joseph in Bogota presented Haiti's vision focused on food sovereignty

The Minister of Agriculture presented Haiti's vision, centered on food sovereignty, at the 4th Summit of Ministers of Agriculture of the Community of American and Caribbean States (CELAC). Vernet Joseph, Minister of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Rural Development (MARNDR), is in Bogota, Colombia, where he is participating in the Summit of Ministers of Agriculture of the Community of American and Caribbean States (CELAC), which will take place from June 16 to 19, 2025, as a prelude to the Second International Conference on Agrarian Reform and Rural Development, scheduled for 2026.

In his address at the National University of Colombia auditorium, before an audience of guests including students, professors, intellectuals of all kinds, and political figures, among others, Minister Joseph outlined the various concerns of the agricultural sector related to its sovereign development and equitable access to resources such as water and land.
