New Judicial Year : Wishes from the Minister
"The new judicial year 2025-2026 undoubtedly marks the return to work at the level of our Courts and Tribunals in the various jurisdictions of the Republic. Socca World Cup (Mexico)
The Haitian socca team will resume training this Tuesday, October 7, 2025, in preparation for the Socca World Cup, scheduled for the end of November in Mexico. Cholera strikes Pétion-ville
The World Health Organization (WHO-Haiti) is mobilizing to support the Ministry of Public Health's response to a cholera outbreak in the commune of Pétion-ville, with financial support from the European Union via EU Civil Protection & Humanitarian Aid. Several emergency interventions are underway :
- Installation of chlorination points;
- Water sampling;
- Distribution of ORS (Oral Rehydration Solution) sachets and Aquatabs tablets
- Decontamination in affected areas;
- Community case management;
The WHO continues its efforts alongside the Ministry to slow the spread of cholera and strengthen community resilience in the face of health emergencies.

Cap-Haitien : King Christophe Week
As part of King Christophe Week, the City of Cap-Haïtien is organizing several commemorative activities in tribute to His Majesty Henri Christophe and invites the population to honor the builder King. Wednesday, October 8, 2025:
8:30 a.m. : Solemn Mass followed by Te Deum at the Cap-Haïtien Cathedral
11:00 a.m. : Laying of a wreath at the monument erected in honor of King Henri Christophe, at the "Pied du Roi"

2026 World Cup : "D-3" Haiti vs. Nicaragua

New Director at the National Police Academy
On Monday, October 6, 2025, Inspector General Frantz Lerebours installed Divisional Commissioner Jhon Games Olivier as the new Director of the National Police Academy. He replaces Divisional Commissioner Prédestin Sem, who has been transferred to other duties within the institution.
