Armament : Haiti Finally Talks Seriously
Defense Minister Jean Michel Moïse announced the order of new heavy armored vehicles intended to strengthen the operational capabilities of the Haitian Armed Forces (FAd'H). For the first time, in addition to armored personnel carriers, the Minister mentioned "armored combat vehicles". Furthermore, Minister Moïse indicated that the Air Force will soon be equipped with aircraft to diversify the army's capabilities.

Mirebalais : Heavy Losses for "Viv Ansanm"
On Sunday, October 12, 2025, in the commune of Mirebalais, several bandits, members of the "Viv Ansanm" terrorist coalition, were fatally injured in clashes with law enforcement. The criminals had launched an attack on fixed checkpoints established by the police in the region. Specialized units of the Haitian National Police (PNH), deployed on the ground, quickly responded, inflicting heavy losses on the armed group and forcing it to retreat.

Jovenel Moïse Case : New Investigating Judge
On Monday, October 13, 2025, during a public hearing in the case of the assassination of President Jovenel Moïse https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-34162-haiti-flash-president-jovenel-moise-assassinated-by-mercenaries-official-updated-7am-+-video.html , the Port-au-Prince Court of Appeal overturned the order of investigating judge Walter Wesser Voltaire, who had indicted 51 people. The court appointed Magistrate Denis Cyprien to resume the investigation of the case, both on the form and substance of the case, ordered the continued detention of all persons already under judicial supervision, and requested mutual legal assistance from the United States and Canada to hear, among others, Martine Moïse, Joverlein Moïse, Jomarlie Moïse, Léon Charles, Ariel Henry, and former judge Roger Noël Cius.

Elections : Important Training on Probity
To address the risks of breaches of probity in the electoral process, the Anti-Corruption Unit (ULCC) in the Northeast organized an important training session for members of the Departmental Electoral Bureau (BED) and the Municipal Electoral Bureaus (BEC), in the presence of two members of the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP).

New CEP Board
On Monday the 13th, Jacques Desrosiers, representing journalists' associations, was installed as President of the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) Board. He replaces Patrick Saint-Hilaire, representing the Episcopal Conference of Haiti (CEH), in this position. Jaccéus Joseph, representing farmers' associations, was appointed Vice President; Peterson Pierre Louis, representing Reformed faiths, was appointed Secretary General; and Nemrod Sanon, representing unions, was appointed Treasurer.
