The Consulate of Haiti in Dajabón informs that Haitian nationals with a single-entry Schengen transit visa are not authorized to enter the Dominican Republic. To transit through the Dominican Republic, a safe-conduct pass, a multiple-entry Schengen visa, or a valid visa from the United States or Canada is required. This measure is issued by the Dominican immigration authorities. The Consulate recommends that travelers carefully check their documents before proceeding to the border. Monaco : Writer Dalembert awarded On Tuesday, October 14, 2025, Haitian writer Louis-Philippe Dalembert won the Prince Pierre of Monaco Foundation Literary Prize for his entire body of work.
