On Monday, October 21, the Haiti Tech Connect Podcast announced the official launch of the Haiti Tech Connect Awards, a unique initiative to recognize the individual and collective efforts of local and diaspora communities who, through technology, education, social innovation, and entrepreneurship, contribute to the creation of an inclusive, sustainable, and competitive digital ecosystem.

The Haiti Tech Connect Awards recognizes talented individuals, institutions, startups, women, and young innovators. The initiative encourages collaboration, recognition, and continuity in diverse fields such as digital education, technology, media creativity, digital governance, and the tech diaspora.

Awards will be presented in six main categories :

Innovation & Technology :

Rewarding transformative digital solutions.

Education & Automation :

Promote educational and inspiring initiatives.

Impact & Inclusion :

Highlight actions promoting digital access for all.

Leadership & Governance :

Recognize public and private stakeholders driving digital transformation.

Creativity & Media Innovation :

Celebrate Haitian creativity and culture through digital technology.

Diaspora Tech Excellence :

Recognize the exceptional contribution of the diaspora to innovation and development.

A public vote, representing 70% of the total score, will determine the winners in certain categories, including : Young Innovator of the Year, Startup of the Year, Women & Tech Leadership, and Mayors' Online Presence.
