Haiti - FLASH : All Sunrise Airways flights to and from Port-au-Prince suspended

"For strictly security reasons, Sunrise Airways informs the public of the immediate suspension of all flights arriving in and departing from Port-au-Prince until further notice.

This decision was taken to protect our passengers, crew, and operations, given the current security situation. We are closely monitoring the situation in collaboration with the relevant authorities and will resume operations as soon as conditions allow.

The safety of passengers and employees remains the airline's top priority. No risks will be taken until conditions are fully met to operate with complete peace of mind.

Passengers whose flights are affected will be contacted directly by our sales team to arrange rescheduling, credits, or refunds according to our policies.

Sunrise Airways thanks its passengers for their understanding and patience and reaffirms its commitment to the safety, transparency, and well-being of all.

"[...] OFNAC reports that preliminary findings reveal that one of Sunrise Airways’ aircraft has an impact in the form of a hole in its structure [...] The competent authorities are currently working to prepare a detailed report on the facts [...] OFNAC reaffirms its commitment to guaranteeing the safety and security of air transport in Haiti [...]"
