Haiti - Election : The Prime Minister reiterates to the CEP his determination to support the electoral process

On Tuesday, December 30, 2025, Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé visited the headquarters of the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) to reaffirm the Government's commitment to fully supporting the 2026 electoral process.

He stated that he noted with satisfaction the publication of the electoral calendar by the CEP and congratulated the Presidential Transitional Council (CPT) for its commitment to drafting the electoral decree, https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-46492-haiti-flash-the-cep-has-just-published-the-revised-electoral-calendar-in-the-moniteur.html , which provides the country with a realistic, credible calendar that meets democratic requirements.

During his visit, the Prime Minister reiterated his unwavering support for the CEP and emphasized the Government's commitment to supporting every stage of the electoral process.

He reiterated that security, the protection of displaced populations, and national stability remain absolute priorities to guarantee all citizens the opportunity to freely exercise their right to vote.
