Haiti - Economy : First working meeting of the new Director of the CIF
The day after his installation, the new Director-General of Investment Facilitation Center (CFI), Karl Jean Louis has presented his vision and the objectives of CFI in terms of promotion and facilitation of investment to representatives of agencies and international development institutions in Haiti.
The creation of 500,000 jobs through the creation of foreign and domestic investment is among the priorities of President Martelly and of his Prime Minister, Dr. Gary Conille. To achieve this objective, the new leadership of CFI has developed an action plan which provides capacity building of the CFI and the launch of several activities to facilitate the development and the creation of business participating in the growth and economic development of Haiti.
Representatives of international institutions present at the meeting, welcomed the initiative of CFI, emphasized on the innovative nature of his approach and the coherence of his action plan. They expressed confidence that the vision and strategy of the CFI, will be efforts generators, leading to the creation of investment and jobs for the benefit of the Haitian population.
