Haiti - Education : Free education, the Ministry has paid the second tranche to 2,342 schools 21/02/2012 09:19:08
In addition, the MENFP would point out that the costs per student, initially set at 100 gourdes, was revalued to 250 gourdes. So far, the Ministry MENFP has has paid an amount of 150 gourdes per student. It therefore remains a final tranche of 100 gourdes, which will be paid to the school managements only after justification of the use of the first two tranches of funds whose report is due no later than March 30, 2012. Moreover, the Ministry informs the private schools that still does not have their checkbook, but that the account is already provisioned, that they can make transactions by transfers on the accounts of those concerned, including the payment of teachers, following an agreement made with the National Bank Credit that hosts the accounts of the schools concerned. Finally, the MENFP informs that the process of treatment of eachers recruited for new public schools within the framework of PSUGO, is being finalized in order to proceed, shortly, to the payment of the teachers concerned.
