This Thursday, Simon Dieuseul Desras, the President of the Senate, sent an official letter to the President Michel Martelly informing him that the Special Committee [composed of Senators : Jean Rodolphe Joazile, Kély C. Bastien, Franky Exius, Melius Hyppolite, Jean Baptiste Bien Aimé, Jeanty Jean William, Lucas Sainvil] in charge of studying the record of Prime Minister-designate, Laurent Lamothe, was ready to receive the deposit of the documents, and to inform Mr. Lamothe.

"Mr. President of the Republic

Following the correspondence referenced PN/MJM/rjh/359 in which Your Excellency has made choice of Mr. Salvador LAMOTHE as Prime Minister to build the government, I have the honor to inform you that the Senate is ready to receive the deposit of his documents on Friday, March 16, 2012 at 1:00 pm.

Consequently, I would be infinitely grateful that you notify the Prime Minister Designated while asking him to bring, in view of his ratification, the documents required in the attached list.

Please accept, Mr. Prime Minister-designate, the assurances of my highest consideration.

LIST OF DOCUMENTS RELATING TO THE RATIFICATION OF A PRIME MINISTER

1. Birth Certificate (extract archive);

2. Birth Certificate (Extract from the archives of his father or mother);

3. Birth Certificate (Extract from the archives of his grandfather or his grandmother);

4. Copy of his National Identity Card (CIN);

5. Copy of his tax registration card (NIF);

6. Copy of a title or certificate of practice of a profession or industry in Haiti;

7. Proof of residence for five (5) last years issued by the Municipality concerned;

8. Police record issued by the Central Directorate of Judicial Police (DCPJ) / Courthouse;

9. Tax clearance (final Statement of Taxation);

10. Curriculum vitae;

11. Haitian nationality certificate issued by the Directorate of Immigration and Emigration;

12. All valid and expired passports used during his trips abroad;

13. Proof of abandonment of all activities incompatible with the position of Prime Minister (Member of Board of Directors of Private Companies, Non Governmental Organization (NGO), Honorary Consul, etc.)

14. All other necessary documents not listed in this list."
