Monday, Fednel Monchery, General Coordinator of the Presidential platform "Repons Peyizan" and several other representative of the latter, had a meeting of nearly three hours with the President Martelly and his cabinet.

"...we had a good meeting of nearly 3 hours with the President and his cabinet, where we discuss several issues on which we agreed. We made understand to the President [...] that we would like that there is a political awareness that is made in the field.We made a commitment at the level of "Repons Peyizan" to support the President and he must call us so that we help him in the problems that we are currently experiencing in the country [...] to ensure that things go faster.

The second thing that we have made understand to the President, is that there are a certain economic malaise, the money has not yet arrived at the level of the masses. It is true that the President has high expectations, as we all know, but we would like that the President go faster in the short term, to help people to have more money. We suggested him, for example to put the money out now on the literacy plan to go faster, also in terms of sanitation so that the sanitation go faster, we can also put money to clean streets... and finally for reforestation, it is another sector where money should be spent now, to make it work.

The President has understood this and we will work to make things work together."

In addition, Jean Hervé Charles, Head of International Relations of "Repons Peyizan" said that the platform would have 10 Senate candidates and at least as much in every department of the country in the next election "...we will have 10 Senate candidates, and the same for each department [commune, cartel, ASEC, CASEC and Magistrate] [...] we already have at least 5 candidates for the Senate who are enrolled under the banner 'Repons Peyizan' and we are almost done to identify at least 10 candidates in each Department... [...] then we will make a primary election to reach consensus [...]"
