Haiti - Economy : The CFI is positive, on the interest of investors 31/05/2012 09:11:55

For me it is an indicator that shows there is a trust that was created, there is interest locally and that people want to invest [...] ...it takes time when a investor has an interest, it must do explorations, understand the system, conduct studies... so we had many promises from the forum that we held last November and I can confirm hat this summer we will have Sherwin-Williams, Williams and dickies... and two other firms who have already come to Caracol and who said they were interested in investing in Haiti. At CFI, we took a series of measures to support local investors. We have signed MoUs with the Chambers of Commerce [...] it is with them, that we must move forward, for they, mobilizing local investors and pose systemic structural problems, that there is in the system to accompany them. At the level of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Haiti (CCIH) we launched a national dialogue on investment. We were in Hinche, very soon we will be in Cap Haitien and we'll go around, to have the same reading of the situation.
