Josette Darguste, Vice President of Carnival of Flowers, which will take place in Port-au-Prince, Sunday 29, Monday 30 and Tuesday, July 31, 2012 indicated that "[...] the Haitian missions, to Miami, New York and Montreal are very concerned they want to come, it's summer, the Haitians will come and participate in large numbers in this Carnival [book your trip without delay]. The Consulate General of Haiti in Miami preparing an activity, there will be representations of queens, the Group Ti-chapo will come and participate, we have the Carnival Committee of Guadeloupe,who will also be in Port-au-Prince [...] I must say that Mr. Hugh Riley, the Secretary General of the Caribbean Tourism Organization, who has ministerial rank, will arrive July 28 to attend the event. There really is a great answer, both of Haitians as other partners, because Haiti is a member of the Caribbean Tourism Organization and the Organization and will be represented at the highest level [...]"

The Carnival of Flowers will be done around the theme of flowers and nature. The focus will be on artistic parades, a family activity that will take place each afternoon, the procession of musical floats will be in the evening every day.

Location : Champs de Mars [Port-au-Prince, Haiti] the site will be rehabilitated to host the festivities

Artistic parades the 3 days : from 3pm to 7pm

Parade route : Departure from the stadium - Grand rue – rue des Casernes – Avenue de la République – rue Capois – rue Saint-Honoré – rue Aswald Durand - return to stadium.

Parades of musical floats from 7pm until late at night...

Musical groups (13) : Nou Krezi, Barikad Crew, Djakout #1, Kreyòl La, Carimi, Vwadèzil, Brothers Posse, Team Lòbèy et J-Perry (they will be on the same float)), T-Vice, Ram, T-Micky, Racine Mapou and Rockfam.

Disguised groups : approximately 1,500 people

Walking bands : 12

Queens : Approximately a dozen
