Haiti - Sports : Laurent Lamothe at London Olympics 17/07/2012 12:22:16
The Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe, will accompany the Haitian delegation to the 2012 London Olympics, where 5 athletes will proudly defend the colors of Haiti. In athletics : Moïse Joseph (800 m), Marleine Wesh (400 m) Jeffrey Julmis (110 m/hurdles) and Samyr Lainé (triple jump) are currently the only qualified. Four other hopefuls haïtiens Jonathan Juin (400m/hurdles), Josué Louis (decathlon), Pascale Delaunay (triple jump) and Roody Monrose (100 m and 200 m) and in Judo, Linouse Desravines (21 years) category 52 kg.
Laurent Lamothe, intends to use this event of global scale, to promote the new image of Haiti and meet with businessmen, to encourage them to invest in Haiti. For these 2012 London Olympics, Haiti will, for the first time, a gallery in the Olympic Village to expose the diversity of its products of arts and crafts to the world.
